Finally got the motor yanked out of my old ITE/AIX car. The car ran last in 2003 after winning the SFR SCCA ITE regional championship - water pump nipple failed in a post season race at Thunderhill, I parked the car in my new shop and built a business.

Here's where it was earlier yesterday:

(IMG:http://www.blainefabrication.com/projects/2012_08_05/IMG_5293.JPG)

prices are OBO plus shipping

Valvetrain: Comp Cams ChroMo 1.6 roller rocker arms for 7/16" studs, excellent condition $120 $90 includes the poly locks

Manley pushrods excellent condition $30 $20

set of GM roller lifters with retainers and spider, excellent condition $40 $30

OEM (cracked with splint) oil pump drive $10 $5

(IMG:http://www.blainefabrication.com/projects/2012_08_05/IMG_5296.JPG)

(IMG:http://www.blainefabrication.com/projects/2012_08_05/IMG_5297.JPG)

ARP head bolts $20 $15

(IMG:http://www.blainefabrication.com/projects/2012_08_05/IMG_5298.JPG)

ported heads by Doug Rippe Motorsports, with big stainless Ferrea valves. Ports and seats were fluffed by Mike Blackstone of Watson Racing prior to the last season on the car. $350 $300 for both, assembled as pictured with valves, springs (I recommend replacing them) Ti retainers, guideplates and 7/16" studs.

(IMG:http://www.blainefabrication.com/projects/2012_08_05/IMG_5299.JPG)

(IMG:http://www.blainefabrication.com/projects/2012_08_05/IMG_5302.JPG)

(IMG:http://www.blainefabrication.com/projects/2012_08_05/IMG_5303.JPG)

Sometime in the 9years that the car was sitting in my shop or garage, some water got into #7 and 8, rusting the bores and leaving this residue in the intake ports - valves are stainless, I think they should clean up OK. The orange residue on the combustion chambers brushed right off.

(IMG:http://www.blainefabrication.com/projects/2012_08_05/IMG_5311.JPG)

Got a port matched intake also, pics later.

Do you have any idea of what the heads do on a flowbench?

Dibs on the head bolts if they fit a SBC. I'll have to double check.

Proform SBC centerbolt valve covers. Never installed, had them sitting on the motor but never bolted down or run. One of them has some oxidation pitting that will buff out.

includes new bolts, breathers and grommets

includes used but good condition silicone gaskets

includes new Moroso screw on oil filler cap and bung - tell me what end you want it on and I'll TIG the bung in place. Or, I think you can screw in the OEM filler tube.

Clears big rocker arms

everything for $80 $70 + shipping (Summit price is $174, the filler cap is $26)

Needs a clearance notch to fit a 4th gen LT1 alternator, I can do that for an additional $20

Accel igition coil, ICM with heat sink, bracket and bolts $30 $20

I totaled up my asking prices for all items in this thread, looks like I was originally asking $970 for everything individually - heads, intake, valvetrain, coil, front dress, etc.

$650 $575 plus shipping takes everything

Yes, they are taller than OEM steel covers. UPS wants $17 to ship - Total $97 paypal to ablaine at cruzio dot com

If you want the filler bung welded on let me know your choice of side and end.

I'll have the check for clearance, and get back to you.

I won't need the filler welded.

Looks like there may be an issue - I'm going to pass for now.

If they need some cut 'n paste for a clearance issue, I can likely take care of that. I can also test fit on LT1 or SBC heads with the CC or wide body Crane rockers.

On a Fbod LT1, a section definitely needs to be notched for the alternator, I can handle that.

Actually they are for a truck I'm building. I'm only to the point of mocking up the engine on the frame (body is off) in a couple weeks, so I'm going off others experience with tall covers.

I think the AC is the other challenge, so I don't want to buy anything I'm not sure about.

Alan, what size cam were you running and is it available?

Are the valve seats for the rusty chambers going to need replaced?

(bro inlaw just bought a 97 SS and is interested)

Cam was an Ultradyne grind - 234/242 @ .050, it is spoken for.

I can pop a valve out and see if the seats clean up with scotchbrite

Hi Alan. I know it's not listed, but do you have happen to have the wiring that goes from the optispark to the ignition part of the wiring loom. The Dynaspark that we installed had the wiring built into the Dynaspark unit so we pitched the cable, figuring the Dynaspark was the last opti replacement we'd ever need. The one time I don't horde something and it comes back to bite me.
