I have a brand new Hellwig 22mm hollow adjustable rear swaybar kit (fits 3rd or 4th gen) and I no longer have a car that fits it. It comes complete.

Is this the Strano adjustable? Dang, timing is everything! I _just_ got this bar. I do love it, though. Highly-recommended, especially for a 3rd Gen.

I "think" hellwig makes Strano's bars, but Sam often has things changed for his application (custom touches, etc). So, I won't swear that it's the same exact bar, but it may be quite similar. I'm also a Hellwig dealer if anyone needs/wants the hellwig stuff (or stuff for their tow rigs, etc).

I would need a 35mm front bar for this to really work well correct?

I would need a 35mm front bar for this to really work well correct? My personal opinion is that a 35mm bar should be the first thing bolted onto one of these cars...or close to it. I would prefer to see it combined with a 35mm solid/36mm hollow bar. It adjusts from about 20-22mm (20.5-22.5...something in that range) equivalent. So, you'd have some wiggle room. |

I'd start on full soft until you get a larger front bar.

Do you remember how much lighter it is then a 24mm solid? Still trying to justify it to myself. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

if you strip the paint off, it would be a few ounces lighter (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

But you might make that back up in the hardware...or not? The smaller diameter tubing will cause less air drag under the chassis. I've never weighed the two, but can tell you that the difference is noticeable. Especially when laying on your back hoisting one down, and lifting the other into place.
Remember, it's unsprung weight, too. Even at the wrong end of the car, unsprung weight is your enemy. |

$190 + freight (If I go any lower, I might just buy a car that it fits and install it). (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

For the record, I'm trying to convince myself to save up and buy this....
Does that count? |

For the record, I'm trying to convince myself to save up and buy this.... Does that count? Sadly it appears that I'm buying a car to put it on. I guess if parts lay around long enough I'll buy them a car... So I guess it's "sold"....to me. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |
