So 'Scratcher' got a paint job? (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/2thumbs.gif)
Actually, isn't that a car that runs in some European racing series? I seem to remember seeing cars like that running in some series in Finland, or some such northern European country. |

Yeah, looks like that CamaroCup stuff from the netherlands (or somewhere over there)...
Still a production tub (see doors), but I'm sure lots of cage, seam welding and such. Looks like good sized tires as well. Would love to see hp/trans/diff info as well as weight and tire info. Costas cars and such... and yes, Scratcher has a good chance at getting an updated look this winter |

That black Camaro and its sister yellow were built in England and raced in the BARC saloon series. There was much interest to get some of these pieces in this thread http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/index.php?showtopic=7641

Blast from the past as FRRAX approaches its 10 year birthday. Yea, I often wonder what's next for us. Most of the guys have gone on to other platforms or abandoned "playing with cars". I fear that in a few short years we are destined to be the last cranky old guys driving these tanks. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

(IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) There are some younger guys exploring the platform. At some point(Iguess) the 5th gen will be used. I have only seen one on track that was as quick as me and it was a ZL1 on PS2's. People down here just don't track the Camaro/Bird in any form. I want to explore just how fast one of these will go as a street car on track. Easy to go quick in a BMW or Vette and many do, I like being the oddity in the paddock. I know Ric Wood and Andy Chester, Andy raced the only ever other 3rd gen other that me overhere in the UK on the road courses as far as I know I had a good look around the 3rd Gen and it was semi space framed as I would imagine this is not at all like my stock shelled car. I personally cannot get too excited with these highly modded cars that bear little resemblence to the originals. Ric Wood is also well known overhere and used to race in a Race Championship I set up called Falken Tyres Modified Production Saloons that was very popular in the day. Ric entered Ford Capris and an ex-Brock Holden Commadore in the championship, He now owns a well respected tuning company and reproduces the iconic V6 24v Weslake Ford engine and is currently building one for anice RS2600 Mk1 Capri that a friend of mine is envolved with and will be a fantastic car when finished. Rics company is CNC Heads and does what the name implies, Incidently the Penske IROC I have in my garage (2nd Gen) was originally owned and raced by Andy Chester before he moved on the the 3rd gen and that was originally twin turbo charged with a reported BHP of over 1000 but that was dropped for normally aspirated.
