Just in case you haven't seen this. Front car moved over to block into turn 5. Car was airborne for over 400 ft.

I was pleased and impressed to see him walk away. That was a rough flight and there was no fire or anything. I don't think a crash at that speed gets any better than that (none of them are good, but that was about as decent as it gets).

Maybe it'll teach the driver to NOT drive a flat-bottomed car with the engine at the wrong end. A F-bod wouldn't do that. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/2thumbs.gif)

But seriously, yes, especially since the driver's door came open on the first pirouette when the car was still in the air, climbing down the catchment fence. I'll bet he woke up the next day feeling that ride.

I saw some quick video before, that really highlights it well. Still incredible he walked outta that. Especially after seeing the repercussions of Randy's wreck. Obviously his was a fair bit more severe. but still...

Bad driving seems to be in vogue these days... That wreck was entirely on the black ferrari, he gave no racing room and was not aware of his surroundings. Oh well, what do you expect from rich boys who pay to play and have no actual racing talent.

I also can't fathom why pretty much every racing series still mandates flat bottom cars. The car catches air underneath and you are along for the ride.

C'mon now, I aspire to be one of those guys.
Stuff happens, when you can walk away, it's a good day.

We all want to have that kind of wealth, but that accident was caused by terrible driving. Driver of the black car could have seriously injured the other driver or a spectator. They got lucky this time, the outcome could have been very different.

I agree with that.
But rich or poor, experienced or inexperienced, mistakes can happen. I'm not condoning, just saying if you race, mistakes can happen to anyone. The point of the vid is that you can walk away.
