I don't mean to be a knob, but has anybody considered the idea that the insurance companies are looking for reasons to cancel their policies these days. Heck, my brother in law just had his Ins. cancelled because he had an accident 1.5 years ago. In CAN. the Ins. companies are practically out of controll. I don't want my name tied to auto sport in any way, and I've heard of guys losing their Ins. after agents/brokers did a net search on their names.

I have talked to my agent about it one on one and they really didn't care. They did however make it clear of the rules and that the car would not be covered in a race event if its timed. But I am w/ Statefarm in TX, so it is probably different than what you have to deal w/.

I would tow my crashed car to the super market, call insurance, look what happened while I was shopping. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Boy did you guys just strike a friggin' nerve!!!!!!!!

For a 94 Camaro, 97 Z71, and a 66 Mercury Comet that is on storage insurance I pay $305!!!

My wife backs the truck into a post a few months after getting it. I take it to my insurance agent and he has the nerve (I really want to start swearing here) to tell me that I should probably just fix it out of my pocket. Since it would probably make my insurance go up.

I'm gonna switch from AllState to AAA this spring.

I pay $1700.00 for my camaro alone. I switched to AAA after they made me an offer of $1100.00 a year, then 1 month later I get a call saying they fired my guy and my new rate was going to be $2200.00 a year, so I went back to Mercury. This is with one ticket in the past 10 years.

I have two tickets. 10mph over, and failure to obey traffic signals. (didn't make a complete stop)
Plus I'm only 24 and my wife 22. But STILL!

But next monthy I hit the insurance rate super lotto. I turn 25 AND my speeding ticket disapeers. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

So you pay 305 a month or a year? I am 40 with one ticket. We just get raped in L.A. for insurance.

$305 per month.

I think it equals out to $1,800 something every six months. So around 3,700 per year. I do put the Camaro on storage though for a few months in the winter.

Damn!

I pay $1200 a year for a '98 TA, '93 Bronco and a '92 F250.

That is with 2 accidents in the last 4 years. Granted, both accidents combined had less than 3K damage to all vehicles, but still!

Man, I gotta move out of this city. I'm paying $2k/yr for my '02. And that's for a driver over 30, married, clean license, car's garaged, and driven under 7,500mi/yr. Or is it just Allstate?
