I bought a T-56 this week end. I need the bell housing, and any other mounting type hardware.

I think MPatterson's car is similar to my 99 C5 for hydralics. I saw one with a clutch fork for a 98 Z. It did look like what I have seen in MP unit. What is up?

F-Body LS1. I still need to convert my 1996 LT1 car from an auto to a Six speed if anyone selling that set up or a whole car.

I got my bellhousing off of ebay for $100. I can give you a run down of everything you need for the LT1 conversion too.

I think for the LT1 conversion on my 1996 Z, I would try to buy a complete car and convert it will all of the parts there.

I need the stuff to put the tranny on an LS1 motor.

Kevin, talk with Jason at Texas Drivetrain.

http://www.txdrivetrain.com/

He can fill you in on what you need to do to convert it ... probably has the parts you need as well ...

Cal, How much of of the bell housing do you have. I have seen a couple of different types. I have a trans and an LS1 engine. I don't have anything to go in between.

Cal should have the part you replace with a scattershield (which is pretty much all of it).

Right, I'm replacing the stock stuff with a scattershield that I just got today. So I'll look at it tonight and see what the scattershield replaces. It looks like there is the aluminum bellhousing which is one large piece, then a small adapter on the transmission. The adapter thing looks almost like part of the transmission; are you sure you don't have that? Is that what you're reffering to? I'll post some pics tonight, that should clear it up.

If you need the flywheel, I have an extra one of those too.

You can have my bellhousing, flywheel, and throwout bearing, but I need to keep the adapter.

Warning: flywheel needs to be resurfaced, but it's not beyond repair.

I will probably go aluminum on the flywheel. It will probaly add to much weight to ship. How much do I need to pay you for the Bellhousing and throwout?

Yeah I'm puting an aluminum Fidanza flywheel on my engine right now.

How does $100 sound for both the bellhousing and throwout bearing? The bellhousing alone is $360 from the GM parts counter.

I'm on Paypal.

I think you are right. It does look like part of the transmission. I think I have that. Does the starter bolt to the bellhousing, is that what is in the picture you have on the internet?

A hundred sounds good.

No, starter bolts to the engine block on a LS1. Probably what you are seeing is just the bulge in the bellhousing that goes over the starter snout, but it's not attached to it.

Do you want to do Paypal? I can get it all boxed up and tell you tomorrow how much shipping will be. I think FedEx would be cheapest for a box this size. What is your zip code?

You would think I would remeber where the starter is bolted since I have religiously repaired my 1999 C5 since 1999 as a T1 Corvette. I guess brain fade. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif)

I am in no hurry. Slow boat will work just fine. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/drink.gif)

Barney, looks like $12 should cover shipping. Want me to send it out?
