Posting for a friend of mine in Dallas.
Please direct all inquiries to him. E-mail is towards the bottom. For Sale: 1996 9C1 / Impala clone with a SIX SPEED manual tranny! Dallas, TX, 128k miles, asking $6850!!! The neat things that set it apart: 1. SIX SPEED TRANNY! and 4.10 gears 2. Camaro front bucket seats and Camaro analog gauge cluster 3. 295/50 wiiide rear tires, 265/50 up front, fills out the wheel wells that way it should have been from the factory, check out the side pictures 4. New Opti/Waterpump, plugs/wires, ign. coil, and receipts - I do all of my own maintenance 5. No dents/door dings 6. I can throw in the Class III/IV Drawtite hitch and the rear 9C1 heavy duty springs and a weight distributing hitch with equalizer bars 7. Last body on frame sedan Chevrolet has produced Though I haven't used this specific car for towing, I previously towed with a 94 9C1 Caprice that had the 4L60E Automatic and only 3.73 gears and airbags in the springs and no weight distributing hitch. I know this setup (6 speed and 4.10 gears and weight distributing hitch) will tow like a dream. I used my 94 9C1 Caprice automatic to tow my 98 Formula on a heavy Kwikload open trailer. Not so good: ---------------- 1. 5% of the Paint, see link below. Shiny, glossy, and smooth, but has cracks in certain places. I have owned a few of these -- never an M6 though (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) . The LT1 has iron heads and a few other little things but the cars are still nimble and fast. If you ever talk to any veteran cops, they will tell you hands down, the Caprice was the best ever. The Crown Vic is/was a pig and will never be anything else. |

That car is sharp as hell!
Makes me wish I had a stack of 100s and a plane ticket to Dallas. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

Something to add...
Owner recently helped another FRRAX member deliver his F-body from Texas to Tennessee, and is also willing to drive this car 8-10 hours your direction if you are serious. Hopefully, drive it to a city that Southwest Airlines flies to, for a cheaper 1 way ticket back home. Also, not listed, but will throw in the original 9C1 Steel wheels with 235/70/15 tires with full tread - for when you do tow. Also forgot to mention it has a Dynatech MMC Aluminum Driveshaft ! It's gorgeous, I need to take pictures of it soon! |
