(IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Sounds like someone could really enjoy this car and if it's as serious as it sounds, it should make a great toy for someone. I bought a set of wheels off of JR24 some time ago and the transaction went perfectly. |

Racing is expensive. I don't generally look at race cars from the stand point of have fun racing as much as what will it take to win or just plain dominate in general. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
I an not as up on F-Bodies as Mitch and Glenn are. I think it would take an LS1 based power train to have a chance to win AIX with and F-Body. Just making conversation. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/whip.gif) I have a garage full of LS1/6 stuff from years of racing my C5. Now ask me questions about that and I can tell you. I wonder how hard it would be to convert this to an LS1 set up... The car sounds visciuos. The car could make minimum AIX weight with an LSX engine. Right now with a pre 97 block it weighs approx. 2840 - 2880 depending on whether you run spoiler or wing and which hood you use. The car has stock rear quarter panels and a heavy Optima battery and stock front K member. The above weight is based upon a 160 lb driver and 10 gal.'s of fuel. If I were to keep car my eventual plans would be to put an LSX engine in. J.R. .....you're kidding, right?...... That's what the smiley was for..... Trackbird, Send me an e-mail (consultjr@msn.com) and I will e-mail you pics. J.R. Howdy, So what front end parts are on there? C4 stuff? Mark Mark, The hubs are C4 and the upper and lower control arms are aftermarket tubular. The k member is stock (heavy). the shocks are coil over double adjustable JRZ's. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/cool2.gif) I am in Salt Lake City. This car doesn't use the stock 4th gen front end. Everything has been replaced (arms, uprights ect) Jason S. Yes, most things replaced. I believe Jason did annual on car a couple of seasons ago. The front end has been changed slightly since then. i.e. extended wheelbase to get car more balanced. |

It is still for sale. Do you have pictures? I have a complete LS1 drive train from my track car that had an unfortunate run in with a solid object. How much did it weigh with an LT1 drive train. Thanks
