next year might go to 345 or 355 if able to find a wide enough tire that grips in 18 |

He had the back fenders flared and built more motor. The last time I drove that convertible it made 502 RWHP. It was fast. Quite fast. So the old window tint in my M3 has completely fallen apart and I couldn't see out the windows anymore. I finally made an appointment to get tint replaced and this morning we dropped it off. Then I started calling machine shops to find someone to machine the 5th gen rotors. 30 something phone calls later I was just about to give up. I couldn't find anyone who would do a small job like this. Nobody. Finally the guy who did the clutch on my truck last year told me to call the dude across from him. He said he could do it. So I threw my 3yr old in the truck, went to autozone to exchange cheap rotors for their premium rotors (I know, I know,) and headed up to NASCAR country where the machine shop is. Once there, the machine guy had a ton of questions that I didn't have the answers to. After about 20 minutes, I'm pretty sure we came up with right answers and off we went. On the way home, I picked up the M3 and left my truck to have them replace the tint as well. The owner of the tint shop had one of the most beautiful fox bodies that I have seen....until his buddy showed up. They both just "finished" thier cars and for now, are just going to car shows. But they both fully plan on doing track days at VIR someday. Who knows if they really will, but at least they are corner carvers. The engine bays of both cars were show quality. I should have taken a picture. The silver one was Turbo and on 7psi was making 500 to the wheels.

I'm going to being a spare hub with me to check fitment. Do hubs just unbolt? I unbolted one off my spare LS1 cross member but it didn't budge. BFH? Hopefully my Kore3 brake lines come in today along with Alan's spacers. Btw, I disputed the purchase from Flynbye and he already refunded my money. Never called me back, never responded to my emails. Whatever. If all goes well, we're going to be bolting up all the parts this Sunday! What's everyone's favorite way to R&R wheel studs? |

Remove all 4 bolts and they should come off, BFH might be needed if they are rusted to the spindle. |

What a transformation. My dad is thrilled.
The fronts are sticking out to far and the ride height is too high. I'm also wondering how the alignment is, because it almost looks as if it has positive camber. The plan is to get it corner balanced and also I'll have them set the ride height and center the rear. Then I'll get it aligned. So maybe lowering it about 1/2" and adding max negative camber will help. So far, nothing is hitting although I think the rear will rub and need some BFH modifications. The front is close to the upright, but I can still get a finger in between. The rear is also close to the bump stop, but only at full droop. I'll grind that down a little just to be safe. I can't wait to bleed the brakes and go for a drive! Maybe Thursday. |

You have spacer on the rear too? Be careful with it hitting the bumps stops going in and out of places, when the one side full droops |

If you don't have a shop press laying around I find a ball joint press and an impact makes quick work of studs.

You can also install longer rear studs without removing the axles. Properly placed grind relief on the axle mount works well (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
It was much more work for me to remove undo half the sway bar, remove the watts link, drop diff fluid every where to pull axles lol. |

I looked at it and I really didn't see where you could cut a relief. And I have to say, pulling the axles was the whole reason it took us forever. Removing all the Allen screws, draining the fluid, pulling the axles, then installing the axles, cleaning the mating surface, RTV, torque it all down, the fill it up again....it sucked! |

Used the puller for the rear rotors and used the ball joint tool for the studs (I have ABS, so i have the pre existing holes for studs go through)
