crap... could've made you save some $
I'm getting rid of my 18x10.5 C6 wheels... they have slightly worn NT01 in them... could've sold whole thing for less than half your wheels.

I might need those. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/2thumbs.gif)

Rotors are autozone duralast 2010 SS Camaro rotors (need machining)

Go to Tirerack and order a set of Centric rotors. Stoptech is part of the Centric "family". I've never had much luck with parts store rotors. We put new rotors on my wife's 2005 Accord. They warped in a week. A year later we warrantied them and swapped them. Warped again in about a week. I finally put Stoptech pads (street pads....same ones I put on my Camaro) on it and Centric rotors. They have been perfect for months.

The ones on my Camaro have also been great and Racerdad has the high carbon Centric rotors on his 3rd gen (LS1 brake conversion). No problems. And that car has a TON of "motor" in it.

If you're spending money to have them machined, I'd buy a better rotor to start.

Amazon has good prices on Centric stuff from time to time if you have Prime.

Agreed with the Duralasts for track work, return them. I cracked two rotors after two sessions at Road America when I tried them. They weren't little heat checks, they were completely through the friction face. Ended up throwing well used Centrics back on and made it through the rest of the weekend. I warrantied the rotors, but they're still sitting in boxes waiting for me to remember to dump them on CL.

Also have 4x 17x11 +50mm afs zr1 with old unused hoosiers 315/35-17 autocross compound.
Tires bit old but never used... Come free with wheels... If you don't like the tires... Do a nice burnout or whatever.
Tires always kept in controlled environment... Temp and humidity

Thanks guys, I'm really excited. Getting the tires mounted up this afternoon.

So last week I ordered brake lines from Flynbye and haven't heard a thing. I've left voicemails and emails and I'm not getting a response. Reading online, well I guess this guy doesn't believe in communication with his customers. Kore3 has them in stock so I'll probably just order from them and cancel my order from Flynbye.

So about the rotors. I've actually had noting but good luck with aitozone rotors. But I do think I'm going to return the cheap rotors I got and get this high carbon rotors that are like $83/ea. The 3 year warranty makes it a no brained. And I've had enough rotors shipped to me that were actually bent, probably front shipping, that I just don't want to deal with it. If they suck, we'll get some better ones from the interwebs.

Pics of monster tires hopefully coming tonight or tomorrow!

I had a brake kit from him for my 3rd gen. It didn't line up with the brackets and the rotors (the spindles came modified by him too). I emailed and called. I never got a response or any assistance. I added washers and "made them fit". And eventually had a caliper fall off on the freeway (fall half way off). Ultimately I learned not to space calipers with washers and that you won't get much help from the vendor either.

Good luck.

<SNIP>

I was trying to order a kit from him about three years ago. I heard from his wife a couple of times, but nothing from him. While I was doing this, I was reading similar posts on other forums, as well as this one. As much as I like giving my business to the 'local guys', they DO have to meed me half way and at least take my money. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

I eventually went with a Wilwood kit that's been working perfectly for us ever since. Light, too! I called and talked to an Engineer at Wilwood, and he put together a kit that met my needs. The only thing I couldn't get with the kit was the scalloped rotors. I had to order those separately.
