Sports And Touring CAr Racing (SATCAR) is excited to announce the Fall Series for 2008. This will be a series of four events at tracks in the upper Midwest. These events use a format very similar to driving schools or open tracking events so we allow drivers to enter in their street cars. Then we use a unique handicap scoring system to make the competition fair, whether you bring 100 HP or 500 HP to the event.

To learn more about SATCAR, including the full Rules Of Competition, please visit the SATCAR web site at: www.satcarracing.com. Also, please register for our mailing list to be kept informed as the program develops. This program is planned as a nationwide, perhaps worldwide, racing activity and we will be coming to a track near you!

Entry forms for the Fall Series will be posted on the site as soon as final entry fees are determined.

Plan to include these SATCAR events in your 2008 activities.

See you at the track!

Sounds cool any future events in Ohio (Mid-Ohio), or Beave Run (PA)? Hopefully I can get my car sold and I can start saving for a track only car.

SATCAR racing is not like NASA TT. In NASA TT each car is running against the clock to see who is fastest. Also, the cars are prepared to specific requirements for the class where they compete.

SATCAR competitors are competing against each other - each driver is trying to catch and pass the cars in front of him/her while keeping the cars behind from catching and passing them, all while trying not to "Break Out" on their lap time.

SATCAR also does not have any class structure or preparation requirements. You can run your car at whatever preparation level you have it, AND WIN, if you drive well. Cars are generally grouped together for similar speed capabilities but this may not always occur, depending upon the entries. In SATCAR racing a Dodge Neon can compete against a Dodge Viper and either one can win, depending upon which driver is safer and more consistent.
