Same to you...
Unfortunately, most of the fireworks displays that I've seen here in Texas pale in comparison to what I remember in Toronto around Canada Day... 8 days of international fireworks competition... amazing. It's my daughters 2nd birthday today as well... I'll tell you what... couldn't have planned a better time of the year for a birthday party... Look baby! Fireworks for your birthday! |

Much of our state in California has fires right now, the largest in Big Sur, a very scenic area along the coast. We are being discouraged from using fireworks in places where it is legal, my buddy is having a little GTG though with the legal "safe and sane" fireworks. There's something about setting off your own fireworks that is much more fun that watching any big show! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Happy 4th of July all!!! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banana.gif) |

(IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banana.gif) Unless you're setting off a big show! I've been part of a crew that puts on a July 4th pyrotechnics display for a local country club for almost 10 years now. We manually set off 2"-6" fireworks mortars. Loads of fun!! You can feel the mortars fire off, especially when you are less than 3 feet from them lighting the fuses with a road flare. It's hot, hard work digging the holes to plant the mortar tubes, and then digging them up again after they've been pounded into the ground by the mortars, but the experience is well worth it. We had a great 4th!! |

There's something about setting off your own fireworks that is much more fun that watching any big show! There's a definition for that feeling: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/pyromania This post has been edited by prockbp: Jul 15 2008, 06:54 PM |
