I'm really sorry if this breaks the rules of the forum, but I thought I'd let everyone know about a sale Tire Rack is having. Closeout on this "Sport Edition V6" wheel in an 18x10.5 size. And it's only $109 apiece. I just ordered 4 for racing, and it's $563 delivered (I have to pay sales tax).

My 17x11s are 26lbs apiece. They're certainly not ideal race wheels, but they're a heck of a lot better value than $2000-$3000 CCWs or Fiskes.

Also, every time I went to buy 18s because of better slick selections, I always talked myself out of them. After all, a set of wheels was more than 2 sets of take-offs.

Now, instead of being stuck running V710s or R6s, I can run Goodyears, Yokohamas, Dunlops, Michelins, etc. True race slicks will more than make up for an extra 5lbs.

Looks like "fewer than 3" are left.
