Up at Barber this weekend with BMW for another HPDE, car feels totally different with the mods I did to it.
The C6 brakes and ducts TRANSFORMED this car, so much nicer to drive...I got so much brakes now its hard to use them lol. The bar and harnesses also helped alot. PSC pump has been flawless with a cooler on it. SHifting at 5k by the tach, seems much better, thanks Mitch. Got my B group solo sign off yesterday after the 3rd session, going back today. I got video with my FLIP camera, I will figure out how to load it to you tube and post it. Man this stuff is a riot! Video, solo day 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7SPtbaNVY8 This post has been edited by FASTFATBOY: May 30 2011, 11:36 PM |

The car double dutied after my buddy wrecked his Civic, what a weekend. Brakes are top shelf I explored them on the last session, C6 brakes, Ferodo ds 2500 pads and ducts are what these cars need, all I can say is wow. I started a good ryhtm the last session, things relaxed and slowed down in my mind a little, felt good. |

Nice to meet you and glad you had a good time.
My car did really well after putting the Hoosiers back on it. Let me know if you have any interest in buying my 17x11 wheels. $400 for set of 4. This post has been edited by tonycook: Jun 1 2011, 02:12 AM |

Next year I'll be moving down to your area. Looks like I've got a great track to look forward to. Glad the roll bar and harnesses worked out for you. Nothing helps more than not having to brace yourself every turn. Seems like your well on your way down that slippery slope... welcome! I just bought a full set of GM ZR1's 9.5's. Going to get them Thursday, putting Nitto nt-05 on them. Belts work well, knees are sore......I need a seat I think. Very nice meeting you Tony, wish I had more time to visit. With class and all its hard. |

Seat will make a huge improvement - you will spend less time bracing and more time focusing on where you want to go.

<SNIP> Belts work well, knees are sore......I need a seat I think. <SNIP> Get knee pads. Many autocrossers use them in their stock-class cars, where seat and harness mods are not allowed. Yeah, being able to use the steering wheel to _turn_ the car, and not keep you in your seat can work wonders towards faster lap times and a more-enjoyable experience. |
