Not exactly sure where this should go, so I dumped it here. With the new engine in our Firebird came long-tube headers (we had shorties and an under-oil pan crossover with the SBC). Because of that, the passenger compartment is notably hotter, and you can feel the heat in the bottom of your shoes. I need to try to reduce heat radiation into the passenger compartment. I'm thinking of adding this:
Fire Resistent Wrap between the headers and the floor board under the car. Is this a good idea, bad idea, or are there better solutions? Thanks. |
