Don't get too mad at 'em. They just don't know what to do w/an 8 cyl muscle car.

Yeah, oh well. I will take a C6 over the TVR [not a pretty car IMHO], the NSX [gutless], Porsche [maybe], I forget the other entries.

I still like the show. Do not forget they are whiney oppressed Englishmen. They review the cars that I do not see reviewed stateside. Consequently I give them their room for opinion and I take mine.

The thing they complained about the most leaf springs? K-rist, they are very lightweight, inexpensive and do what they are supposed to do. I am surprised they did not have a conniption fit over the 16 valves and push rod v-8.

WOW.... 1:20.8... with a driver that can't control the rear end. Imagine if they actually got a driver who knows what real power is about. I like how they say leaf springs are old school... when was the last time you saw a fiberglass leaf spring pull 1:20 anything..... maybe when the C5 did it? So it takes third in a drag race, that extra 20K pounds they save leaves plenty left over for some go fast parts if 400 hp isn't enough for you. Think we should tell them the car will register more G's if they stopped drifting like a bunch of teenagers who stole it? Maybe they need a 3 foot tall aluminum spoiler to control the rear end since they don't know how. I like how the C6 still hangs with other world class performers... even when they complain "ohh... I can't shift it... wa wa wa I need a driving instructor... wa wa wa they put plastic in the car" what do they want for an interior, carbon fiber trimmed with leather? No... I know... how about that old school metal dash that's painted body color. Wa wa wa this car wasn't made by me and it's still so fast, wa wa wa I can't drive a rear wheel drive car. Wa wa wa the bumper will absorb an impact instead of getting all scratched up, wa wa wa why didn't I think of that? Take this you filthy brits (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/nutkick.gif)

What a bunch of puds. Was their test driver supposed to be a pro? It looked like I was behind the wheel driving it! What can you say, they're used to driving the gutlless wonder, the Honda (Acura) NSX.

Way to not even explain that its a TRANSVERSE leaf SPRING, not SPRINGS.

Also we have never landed on Mars..only the moon.

How do we know the guy wasn't sandbagging in the drag race?

Rumor has it the drag race scene was filmed multiple times and they chose the one that made the C6 look the worst. They had abused the car to the point where the rear tires were blad and the clutch was slipping so its amazing it did as well as it did.

I normally enjoy Top Gear reviews but in this case I agree they went a bit overboard. I'm actually glad the other guy reviewed the car. Apparently the guy that normally does them (Jeremy Clarkson) has "issues" with any American car that isn't a GT40.

That drag race is crap! I'm pretty sure that a C5 was quicker straightline than an Acura NSX. Also, the lap time was quicker than a 911 GT3....so what are they complaining about?

The NSX was a Type R so it has more power and less weight than a run of the mill NSX. The C6 still should have beat it IMO.

The laptime for the C6 was very good, however the only reason it beat the GT3 was because the Porsche ran on a wet track (hence the "w" next to the laptime).
