The last 2 yrs I ve stored my car in a garage that has limited accces after it snows. Well the first part of the winter was mild and not much snow. The last 3 weeks we've had close to 25 inchs of snow with another 6-10 for today. We there is a 4 ft pile of ice right in front of the door and 2 ft of ice for 30ft. There no friggen way I can get the car out until it warms up now. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif) Its not suppposed to warm up in the next few weeks. Im going to miss the drivng school at Beave Run April 2/3. This put me about a month behind as we speak.

This goes out to the SNOW GOD's

It's 45 degrees here in Atlanta today with 25-30 mph winds. But no snow.

This weekend is our first event of the season along with a Test n Tune on Saturday and it's suppose to be around 60-65 degrees. I guess there are SOME advantages to living down south!

I know that doesn't make you feel any better though. Sorry. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Yes there are advantages to living down south!! Thanks for the warm forecast.

Why not throw some warm temps this way. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rotf.gif)

With snow in the forecast again, I'm wondering how I'm going to do needed prep work on the car before our season starts.

I was lucky enough to find a mild spell in mid-February to change my water pump.

Still need rear wheel bearings, rebuild the front lower A-arms.... I'd love to do the timing chain...

... with no garage...

I feel your pain, John!

Jeff I think you guys have had more snow than us up until the last few few weeks.

At least I've been able to get the speed bug out of my system. My snowmobile that I test ride/crew chief on has been running 5.4's at 124 in 660ft. 1.2 60ft :leaving:

Ever see folks with F-bods in chains up there (Lake Tahoe in winter)? I get a huge laugh out of them! You know they are driving up to the casinos, wonder if they ever get there! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rotf.gif)

I haven't driven my car either since before Christmas. I've been going through withdrawal symptoms, including buying extra sets of wheels and tires.

Jeff--Maybe I can help out with your parts installs. I'd like to learn how to install those bushings.

Was mid 50s here yesterday. Let my son take the '02 out for a "warmup" ride. Figured the winter was letting up. Right now it's low 30s and dropping with 40-50 mph winds and a snow/sleet mix. Two inches on the ground already. Now they're talking snow again for this weekend. At least I won't have to worry about not having the car prepped for tha autox that will likely be cancelled. If the wind would die down, I think I'd build a snowman just so I could run the pickup over it. Love these Jersey winters!

Ohh yeah this sucks big time.... my normal commute of 30 minutes AT THE MOST turned into a 3 hour test of patience, threshold braking (while manually asisting the ABS), mental stamina during food deprivation, and my dog's bladder.

Then not only do I get a call from my parents during the first half of their 2 week vacation in sunny Florida, but now I have to read about the rest of you southern people who enjoy that same warm weather year round (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rant2.gif)

Over all though the winter has not been bad at all, it has just been the last couple weeks that have been bad. Last night I had a hard time getting in my front door because we had a ice storm yesterday that froze over the door. I had to yank the door open to break the ice around the bottom of the door. I don't mind below freezing temps, but with the wind gusts around 50 mph it is just down right COLD! We have a local event here in 11 days, so I hope it warms back up soon. Crazy thing is the ice storm came on Tuesday and Monday it just hit around 70 degrees.

51mph winds last night and blowing from 5pm to midnight. Windchills -24. I had to work the closing shift last night, which meant shovelling during the worst of it. If it weren't for the neon signs, I wouldn't have been able to see the buildings accross the parking lot. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rant2.gif)

We have two employees who take cabs home. One called for a cab at 9:30pm. Hadn't arrived by 10:30, so he cancelled the call and I took him and another employee home in the "Black Cab".

There was a sight - pretty much me in the Trans Am (graphics and all) and the snow plows on the road.

Blizzaks = (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/2thumbs.gif)

On the plus side, one of our bar regulars was in last night. He drag races a Ford Maverick and works in a parts store. I asked him where I could get my A-arm bushings pressed. He and a friend of his have a 12 ton press and will do the bushings when I'm ready! Probably cost me a 12-pack

I just need for this snow to go away (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rant.gif)
