Congratulations!

Shadetree Mechanic or whatever's called now did a show on building up a kart engine.

I'm starting early with "can you say go-kart?" and "Hooooosier". I choose to believe that "ah-goo" is an early attempt at asking for new race tires (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

thats great!

Boys are cool. My boy (3 years old) is the master mechanic in my pit crew. Of course he doesnt realize swapping tires takes about 10 times longer when he helps. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Somewhere there's a picture of me as a small child in a little racing suit on the fender of Dad's race car. I've never seen the picture, but my wife (who has seen it) and mother claim it still exists ... somewhere. I'd love to have that picture. The suit and car are long gone.

Perhaps I'll get to recreate it (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I've seen this in person-it's funny yet demented at the same time. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Although Sean's daughter probably has no clue what a go-kart may be, Sean seems to have engraved in her head "go-kart" has a positive connotation. Either that or she thinks it's her name. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

My son Scott is now 17. He was the reason I stopped autocrossing, but is now the reason I'm getting back into it. We did the racing cart thing back when he was 10 years old. He got his feet wet last summer autocrossing his Focus. This year he'll be co driving the Camaro with me. He loves cars just like dad and it's something we can do together that we both like.
