In the July 2005 issue of Popular Hot Rodding, they take a trip to GM's plant where they build the LS7. It's pretty interesting so far, and I didn't read it all yet. It's about 6-7 pages with pictures. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

"....the harmonic balancer is pushed onto the crank using 3,000 lbs. of hydraulic pressure."

They also note that the "Zeta" platform has been cancelled by GM, thus there will be no Camaro in 2007 as hoped for. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

I read somewhere that Holden is still working on it in Austraila for their next generation Monaro...

I have read mixed reports about zeta, from it being canceled, to them just dropping the platform naming conventions to stop people from grouping cars together (ala K-car fame).

Who knows. I think with the other companies making decent $$ off their sports/muscle cars now, that chevy would be making a bad decision in not reviving the camaro once its contracts with Canada are over
