Is the deadline really Oct 9th to register online? Or can I do it Friday night? Or, is it really tonight?

Since I have too much to do and decided that it's not practical to make the Aberdeen, MD event (I'll be there next year, at least once), I talked my co pilot into going to Cincinatti with me. So, Neil and I are both "in". We looked at the classes and dove into SM2 to run the Z06, the 98 Corvette, M coupe and a few other things that might be way faster than us. But we'll have fun and maybe we won't be last.

I'll have to check the weather and all, and see if I have time to make the trip, but considering I just dropped a class, I need to celebrate. Got room on that tire trailer for some V700s? (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Kevin, the results are posted: HERE

I think in another event I would have started beating you again. I lost way more than the .5 sec I ended behind you when I almost looped the car on the last run. Considering what the winning Vette driver had at the gunfight (a cannon) we did not do too badly. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Was Coleman on race tires?

Just curious.

It's nice to see the "ESP" Evo's have moved to SM. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif)

As slick as that lot was, I'm going to assume so or I think he'd have been very slow.....

The Z06 showed up in a tractor trailer with car hauler (drive on the door, lift the car, pull in the top of the trailer). It was fast and I couldn't afford to catch that car (not that my driving was stellar either). It launched on some type of traction control system (maybe a tweaked factory one?) and was pretty evil sounding.

I just looked and Colemans registration on my auto events.com lists his tires as "Hoosier" and size "huge".

I believe he was on race tires. He was the guy that left towing his tires on what looked like a small watercraft trailer.

Yeah he was debating on a local board as to what he would run.

Actually slicker lots narrow the difference between race and street tires in my experience.

As long as you consider 3 seconds "not much". Danny Popp was faster still with less motor.

Well, I look at it like this: If he was the cannon in this gunfight we had some mortars at least. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/burnout.gif)

I know the vette your talking about I thought it sounded pretty scarey in a bad way. Brad said the guy put over 8 grand in the exhaust itself. Ahhh!!! What!!! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)
