I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm no longer employed at The Tire Rack. After 19 years there, I decided I needed a change.

I'm currently working for Basney BMW in South Bend Indiana, selling their product line. I sold BMWs dating back to 1977 before working for The Rack, so it's kind of like returning home.

I would like to thank you guys for supporting me at The Rack. With the new job I haven't spent much time on here, but continue to enjoy reading all the expertise.

If you need a BMW let me know.

Perhaps not a fair question, but, is all well at Tirerack? Have heard rumors of a possible sale to some large corporation. Hate to think that they might be changing their approach to business.

Anyway, good luck with the new position. BMWs shouldn't be a tough line to sell. They've got a great image and some good products.

Good luck at the new job. Let me know if BMW ever makes anything nearly as fast as a Corvette (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

If you happen to stumble upon any of those turbo diesel mercedes let me know.... I have something up my sleeve as always. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

But has a rev limiter set 200 RPM _past_ valve float! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Can you say 'bent valves' and 'broken pistons'? I knew you could. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

200? Mine's got a chip that raises the rev limiter, so it must be 700 rpm past valve float. And I bounce off that limiter all the time.

Hey Steve. I just wanted to say I appreciate the strings you were able to pull for us to make the Hotchkis front bar available. I love mine.

Take care, Rob.
