FedEx would probably be a better choice for something oversize like this.

Dan, I can arrange for UPS to pick it up if you parents could package it.

Are all the brackets included?

Sorry for the delay - had to get in touch with the folks.

There are no brackets for the harness bar. There are tabs welded into it for clip-in harnesses, and there's a flat mounting plate on either end with two holes that bolts into the stock seatbelt location. All it requires are some bolts / washers / nuts, which I do not believe are with it.

My dad said he'd be happy to measure it / take it to UPS to get it wrapped - he has no idea how to wrap it to their standards before then. As a warning, I tried to ship it before via UPS, but since it was oversized (it's apparently just outside of the length dimension), it was around $100 to go from Philly to Georgia. So that's why it's still sitting with my folks.

Unfortunately, my dad has a business trip this week, so the soonest he'd be able to get to this would be next week some time - is that okay?

Hey Dan, I went ahead and bought a new one, but thanks anyway.

Hey Dan I will take it since MLS bought a new one. You could have your parents just ship to your house and I could come and pick it up. I will PM you.

A question on mounting the harnesss bar. Does the bar mount to the rear seat belt mounts? Seems to me it wouldnt need any hardware or extra brackets.

Re: mounting - yes, it doesn't require any hardware besides two bolts and nuts (iirc, it's been a while since I installed / removed it). Basically, the stock seat belts mount to a single bolt, but the harness bar has two (one before and one after the bar itself, think of a plate and bar like: _|_ where the plate is the horizontal section).

For shipping it out here - if you're willing to pay, say, $50 + whatever it takes for my folks to ship it out here, it's yours (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Sounds good. I hope we can find something better than $100.00 to ship it. their must be a cheaper way. I am not in a hurry so shipping it the cheapest way would be fine. I hear DHL is fairly cheap. Maybe ask them for a quote. How much does it weigh?

It's not that heavy. The issue was that it was slightly beyond the standard largest UPS box size, so it had to get bumped out to the next level of cost. I'll send my folks an email to see if they can try DHL instead, but I don't remember there being a DHL center near them (while there is a UPS one).

No, I'm sorry, none so far (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I haven't heard back from him about shipping options / etc.

I'll ping him again tomorrow - but if you need a harness bar soon, it'd probably be in your best interest to look elsewhere. Both my dad and I are really busy these days, and we're having trouble connecting.

Sorry (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
