Cool. I could use a good deal on a DL360 to replace my aging beige-box Solaris server at home, although, that machine with the overheat warning beeping at me is probably still quieter than a DL at full trot. :-)

Yeah, I have been building a lot of DL360 and DL380's at work lately.....starting one of those things in my cube sounds like a plane is taking off..... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) The IBM x336 and x346 are worse.... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

Tell me. Used to, I would pause while passing by the server room to see if I could hear the temp beep. Now, I listen for the fans. If I hear fans I go in to see what has a component failure.

Yeah, I did one of those IBMs a while back. After the second reboot, we left the room when we had to reboot. I am suprised they didn't scoot across the table when booting. :-)
