Has anyone made a serious effort to make one of these? I don't know much about the car, but the open boost thing made me wonder. Can you mate one of the third-gen manual trannys to the 3.8l?

The Turbo TA is on its own line so you're stuck with the 200R4.

Kevin Youngers will tell you the Turbo TA is the perfect car for FS, ESP, CP, and probably SM and SM2. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

But I'm sure that has nothing to do with the fact that his is for sale...

I'd recommend passing. It's not the 200R4 either (they work fine). It's the fact you are stuck with a 9-bolt. It's the fact that open boost doesn't help since we can blow the tires off most other cars leaving corners. It's the fact the intercooler heat soaks and the car falls on it's face. I've driven them in FS trim. I wasn't overly impressed, and in fact, told Kevin about 400 times to go get his L98 out of mothballs.
