Howdy,

A couple "what the he** are these?" questions...

First, I have no idea really what this is, but it looks like part of another part that was in a box labeled with "old slave"... Anyone know?

2nd, here are pics of the backing plate of two different types of (presumably) rear pads that were in the boxes... My guess, based on the other stuff in the boxes, is that the bottom pad is a rear pad for a '98+ fbody. Anyone know what the top pad fits?

Thanks!

The black plastic and steel thing is a throwout bearing for the clutch slave cylinder. The bottom brake pad looks right, but I don't recognize the top pad.

the top part is obviously your flux capacitor.

top pad is an LT1 f-body rear pad.

Yes, they are. The 89-up PBR rear discs (all rear discs 89-up are PBR calipers) are the same as the LT1 cars.

I guessed that the top pic was a throw-out bearing. I'm so proud of myself! biggrin.gif

And yeah, I knew the two at the bottom (pre '98 on top, '98+ on bottom) too. Considering I was handed a box with LS1 brake pads last time I bought them and had to argue with the guy trying to sell them to me that it wasn't the same thing as the LT1, I should know. wink.gif

wow, you all are goooood

It is a TO bearing, and the brake pad with the spring on it is indeed a pad for the PBR rear calipers that were on late 3rd gens/1LE's, '89-96 Vettes, and all the LT1 F-cars. The other ones are LS1 pads.
