It sounds like Chris has it covered on his own..... beerchug.gif

I know, its more or less a lost cause....
Chris 96 WS6
Oh you guys are missing the good part now. He's telling me the holes increase rotor heat and more heat = less friction which is all somehow good for stopping power.

I was trying to find the thread where I spent 3 pages explaining all of this stuff on LS1tech, but I couldn't turn it up. I think his name was warlock something or another.....

Thanks Kev...I owe ya one.

I was dumbfounded when he said I was ONLY discussing the negatives of drilled rotors and not the positives....WTF?? Are there any postives? LOL

They look bitchin' dude!!!!! blink.gif

I just threw that togther on the fly. I figured I'd get a reply and maybe I still will. We'll see how it goes.
Chris 96 WS6
Yes, there was a reply. Now he's saying he meant SLOTS had advantages, LOL. The contortions going on in that thread could make any gymnast jealous.

Sweet.

Gets lined up for a full twisting backflip in a pike position......
Chris 96 WS6
Thank you...I think I really needed this. biggrin.gif

We so rarely have any debates on that site, much less any high-order tech debates.

I think I needed a little drama, I've been in a funk lately whip.gif

I finally got over there and read it... smile.gif
Looks like a lot of the good stuff got deleted by the author already, but enough of it is preserved in replies to get the gist of it.

Wouldn't slotted rotors, besides being lighter themselves, also help with unsprung weight reduction by grating the pads down faster too?

I actually quoted all of his posts in my last reply. So it's all "there" and it will stay...... nutkick.gif

I really was trying to explain it to him, but I wanted to make sure he couldn't change his mind/story. And, since he was being a bit defensive, I might not have been as gentle as usual on him, but I tried not to beat him up too bad either. dry.gif

Geez, I guess he did get mad and go home...... Oops.
