Looks like a lot of the good stuff got deleted by the author already, but enough of it is preserved in replies to get the gist of it.

Wouldn't slotted rotors, besides being lighter themselves, also help with unsprung weight reduction by grating the pads down faster too?

I really was trying to explain it to him, but I wanted to make sure he couldn't change his mind/story. And, since he was being a bit defensive, I might not have been as gentle as usual on him, but I tried not to beat him up too bad either.
