Found this "how to" explaining the process of modifying the stock thermostat to a 160 or different temp of your choice. Can't verify it as I've already done the 160* w/the rather expensive total unit.

so howabout does one obtain a .101 or .125 thick shim? cuz it had said there that they had used homemade shims...

GP eh? so the shim would be like....1.50 instead of 2.25? i have no idea how much one of those would go for.... smile.gif

Sorry, I was thinking along the lines of about $15 each. Sam Adams is rather expensive, you know biggrin.gif

ok, fine! just because you're monopolizing the thermostat shim business, doesn't mean you gotta stick it to us like you're "the man". smile.gif
