No dyno and no track time this weekend. Driveshaft and oil filter issues crippled the weekend, but in the end they both got resolved and TONS of other stuff got done.
In fact, if I felt a little more loopy I could walk out into my garage, drop into the Kirkey, flip the master, ignition and fuel pump switches and hit the button. She'd bark to life (she sounds SO FRAKKING ROWDY!!!) and I could ease in the clutch, drop the jerico in first and go terrorize the living crap outta my neighborhood....and then go to jail I'm sure. Anyway, we have a pretty much UN-dyno'd and UN-shook down car. Lots of phone calls to make tomorrow and with any luck we'll be heading to VIR in the next few days. There are only 3 chevrolets entered and the other two are corvettes (a c4 and a c5). If we make it, we'll be the ONLY f-body in the event! Bored? An update with some pics: http://www.witchdoctormotorsports.com/ch80.htm Costas cars and such... |

Stang Killer, where do you work? With Ryan? If so, yes I was going to come by but was running out of time and had a buddy of mine bring in the big set (14" wide fronts, 14.5" wide rears) and get them mounted.
Mkay...well....I'm at a loss for words. Really. And I am pretty talkative. This car is insane. Totally, 100% frakking insane. I've driven some serious machinery. Big hp, lots of grip, big brakes, blah blah blah. It's all crap. Went to my sUpAR seKrEt test site today and wrung the heck out of the car. Oh MY GAWD I can't describe it effectively. It was just insane. So, with a test that showed the car can move under its own power in all four gears, the brakes stop the car and the steering turns the car, we are headed to VIR tomorrow morning. It is likely not to smart to go with an UNsorted car...but hey....sometimes you gotta throw the dice. Long odds, yes, but hey, I wasn't doing anything else this weekend anyway. Costas cars and such... |
