Cool to see that they are giving it a top line aftermarket braking system right off the showroom floor!! (carbon-ceramic, no less!! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/gr_eek2.gif) )
Glad to see also that they used forged pistons and crank (hopefully overbuilt) to handle the inevitable overboosting that the 1/4 milers will attempt with smaller pullies (IF that system even allows for pulley changes), or a complete conversion to big single or twin turbos. But either way I guess we will find out just how much boost the LS3 based alloy block can take. All of the pure, bone stock 1/4 mile record mavens (Ranger & co.) will LOVE that stock twin disc clutch, as the weak stocker holding back the launch is one of the reasons the current Z06 does not go even quicker down the drag strip. The price is high, but is completely justified with the engine tech, liberal use of carbon fiber body panels, stronger clutch & T56 (forgot the numerical code #), and those brakes!! It's a shame that they could not have lowered the weight to even less than the current Z06, like was being speculated. They should also offer a 'competition gray' finish for the wheels (like the current C6's/Z06es), for those who don't go for the pimpbling chrome/polished look.
