Alittle read that was posted on our webboard from one of the GM engineers that frequent there. zr1 motor My favorite 2 lines from that article - "smooth driveability at low speeds" & "320 lb.-ft. of torque at only 1,000 rpm". You do realize that this thing has as much power at normal "let-the-clutch-out-revs" as the average, stock LS1 does at redline? How is this car going to take off smoothly at redlights. I can see it now - "But, Officer, my foot wasn't even on the gas. It's the idle, I promise!" |

320lb-ft at 1000rpm...at full throttle. If you aren't flooring it, there won't be so much power trying to make its way to the rear wheels. So, like he said, you'll be dealing with 320 foot lbs.
