Well damn ...
I've been hearing a slight, tinny rattle from the back. And on a hard right hander, I would hear and feel a clunk from the rear as well. Rattle was easy enough. There is a rubber hose with a tiny, metal breather attached. It had just enough slack for the metal breather to tap against the exhaust. A zip-tie fixed that. The clunk was a missing upper ball joint nut. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) I don't know what the seat is supposed to feel like, but I didn't feel any burs or divots in the knuckle. Fortunately, the thread was the same size as lower A-Arm bolts on an F-Car. And once I put as much tight on it as I dared, I checked it against the other side and see similar thread reveal. Need to keep an eye on that. When the car goes back to the dealer for the agreed upon work, I'll make them do a real check on that ball joint. |
