Howdy,
Where's everyone buying parts at discount these days? I'm thinking I'm needing two new front upper control arms for the c5 z06... They both look like this now: (IMG:http://www.maracing.com/misc/DSCN0218.JPG) (IMG:http://www.maracing.com/misc/DSCN0219.JPG) Mark |

Here are 0 mile bushings from the shop chassis:
(IMG:http://www.blainefabrication.com/projects/2011_07_28/IMG_4401.JPG) (IMG:http://www.blainefabrication.com/projects/2011_07_28/IMG_4402.JPG) I don't think yours are bad enough to replace yet. The lowers are more prone to moving - I'd pound them out till the LCA rubbed on the Kmember on my BSP C5. I gave the first set of arms I replaced to Griggs so they could tool up for some better bushings, dunno if they ever did that. This post has been edited by Blainefab: Aug 11 2011, 09:43 AM |

You learn something everyday and I have never owned or worked on a 4th gen but was under the impression the suspension was virtually identical to the 3rd gen but that looks like the factory have reverted back to unequal length double wishbone suspension and done away with the McPherson strut, is that right?

Those pics are Corvette, but what you say about 4th gen is true in the front - not the forged aluminum arms of the Vette, but a double wishbone none the less. The 4th gen is all different than the 3rd gen from the firewall forward, mostly the same rearward. |
