Anyone here a Scca member? If so, how do you like it? I'm thinking about starting my membership next spring.

Most regions charge more for non-members than members for many events. For solo, and I guess other events, one has to be a 'member' to run, so if you don't have an annual membership, you have to purchase a temporary 'weekend' membership, which costs $15 per weekend. You do get your annual membership discounted for up to two weekend membership fees, but you have to mention it when you join. Make more than 4 events a year, and you've paid for an annual membership.
My wife and I have been members for probably almost as long as we've been married (23 years). There are family memberships that lets you get the kiddos involved at a discount, if they're into that kind of thing. |

Rob Rob, I think you do it when joining online. You may have to call the home office and talk to someone in membership, though. If you need more info, let me know, and I'll dig deeper. Our Waiver Chief, Lynn, knows the procedure, so you can ask her when you come sign the waivers. |
