The picture of me pointing is the "bubbling" on the sail panel that is a common problem on the 98-02 fbody. There really isn't any way to fix it other than replace the panel. Since I can't do that right now I'm just going to bandaid it for now.
Almost every panel had some sort of damage on it. Depending on the extent of the damage I either stripped it to bare metal(or in most cases with this car, plastic) with a stripper wheel, then feathered the paint and did the repair, then primer. If it was just a rock chip or a spot where I was keyed, I feathered it out with 150 or 180, did some "mud work", then primed it. I block the primer with 320. Then when I'm prepping that and the car for paint I will use 500. I imagine some of that may be confusing. If you have questions I can try to clarify haha |
