I just finished watching the last 45 minutes. I think what I was interpreting as cheers were actually more like gasps or exclamations when they crashed. And, the watching 1 corner thing is the same thing that any corner worker does.

But, I still can't get over them standing on the course, in the middle of the road, on the outside of turns, with their backs to cliffs, etc. After seeing what some of those cars do to telephone poles, trees and stone walls - a crowd is nothing!

Oh, and I love the "flip the car over and keep driving" philosophy!

i think one of my favorite crowd/car interactions was that older man that was on the inside of a corner who ended up practically placing his hands on the hood of the car as it slid by right in front of him...then of course he just sort of casually walked across the street after it passed. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) i couldn't imagine what that experience was like!
