That would require me to have enough sense to go around. I'm running a bit short these days and can barely keep up on my end, much less share. But, anything for a friend, I'll do what I can.....

but why do some people need to steer trouble where they don't want to be nomore... GROW UP !

Well, maybe there's a little animosity toward that place not only because its sucking so bad was the biggest reason for the creation of this place, but also because when this place was created and linked on numerous boards all the boards were OK with it except for LS1.com.

I think the hatred comes from the Owner being a moron... getting rich off of free labor and criticizing them afterwards. He appears to be a crook, theif and overall sorry person.

The question is: Why would anyone want to support that type of person??

I say keep on kicking that piece of crap site. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I like you guys and this place... but why do some people need to steer trouble where they don't want to be nomore... GROW UP !

Initially, my position was similar to Scott’s (Absolute Speed). But after reading the ex-moderator and ex-administrator posts at LS1tech, I had some serious doubts concerning Brad’s integrity. And many of those people were very devoted to him. But ... after reading Brad’s own explanation of the problems (and even worse, the attitude he conveys), I no longer have doubts. I think it would be morally weak for me to stay in a neutral position. He sounds like the type of neighbor that brings a whole neighborhood down and that makes others sell their homes to escape. I am puzzled that anyone, seeing Brad’s character, would buy the house next door.

Yup. The last time I was there I got banned for three days. All I did was question why a mod edited a nonsupporting business name from a post when a couple other supporting vendors were named too. The guy was looking for a new convertible top. I thought it was trivial. XTrooper disagreed and I got 72 hours in the hole. I aint been back yet. I never hung out there much anyway.

BTW - hi. Been registered here for a bit, figured I'd actually make a post.

Greetings,

I just posted in here that I won't get into politics, but I feel I need to clear my name.

I was called up by the Admins at LS1.COM (I had resigned from moderator a few months back) to replace Mitch as mod in the AX forum after he quit.

As a mod, my first job is "damage control". I wanted to keep the racers together and not split off into 20 different directions. So according the LS1.COM rules, I edited references to competing boards AFTER I notified the writer what I was going to do. That is what a moderator does. The dirty work.

The coilover thread was fun. Lou wanted the thread deleted and I refused. Finally he went over my head to the admins, so I moved it to the Archives.

I did not stun, ban, or punish anyone in that forum. But I did field hundreds of PM's and Emails over the subject. It sucked.

So hate me if you like. Got a lot of folk throwing it my way lately. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) My guess is you would have done the same thing if in my shoes.

PS - I tried REAL hard to get Mitch back as Mod in there. But the admins at the board refused multiple requests. My goal was to put out the fires, get Mitch back, then resign again. It just didn't work that way.

McRat, you did a hell of a great job... I really enjoyed working with you.
I know exactly what you feel... because we were in the same battle... but I guess it didn't work out as we wished... maybe we like the wishful thinking part.
It's not easy being a mod and letting things go when they are borderline.
I try to always let all the info available, while not breaking any rules... but sometimes, that makes people not too happy... part of the game, I guess.
I like the respect from this board... I think it falls down to the racers respect. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
